Seller Terms

Effective Date: August 1, 2026

These Seller Terms (“Seller Terms”) govern your use of Sell Computer Parts as a Seller through SellComputerParts.com.

These Seller Terms are incorporated into and form part of the Sell Computer Parts Terms & Conditions. Capitalized terms not defined in these Seller Terms have the meanings given to them in the Terms & Conditions.

By creating a Seller account, creating a listing, offering an item for sale, or otherwise using Sell Computer Parts as a Seller, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to these Seller Terms and our Terms & Conditions.

1. Seller Eligibility and Account

You must have an eligible Sell Computer Parts account to create listings or sell through the marketplace.

We may require account, email, telephone, payment, identity, business or other verification before allowing you to sell.

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate account information
  • Maintaining current contact and billing information
  • Protecting your username and password
  • Maintaining control of your Seller account
  • Keeping required payment methods current
  • Complying with applicable laws and marketplace policies

You may not use another person’s account or create additional accounts to avoid fees, restrictions, suspensions or other marketplace requirements.

2. Sell Computer Parts Is a Marketplace

Sell Computer Parts provides an online marketplace through which independent Sellers may offer approved new, used and refurbished computer parts, components, computers, electronics, networking equipment, peripherals, accessories and other computer-related products (“Listed Items”) to Buyers.

Sell Computer Parts is not the owner or Seller of your Listed Items and is not a party to the purchase and sale agreement between you and a Buyer.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Sell Computer Parts does not take possession of, inspect, test, authenticate, repair, refurbish, package, warehouse, ship or deliver Listed Items.

You are responsible for your Listed Items, listings, communications, transactions, payments, shipping, returns, refunds and obligations to Buyers.

3. Seller Credit Card Requirement

To create listings and sell through Sell Computer Parts, you may be required to maintain a valid credit card, debit card or other approved payment method on file.

Payment information may be securely stored and processed by our third-party payment processor, including Stripe.

Sell Computer Parts generally does not need access to your complete card number in order to process authorized marketplace charges.

By adding a payment method to your Seller account, you authorize Sell Computer Parts and its payment processor to charge that payment method for amounts properly due under these Seller Terms, including:

  • Seller Service Fees
  • Optional listing upgrades
  • Promotional services
  • Seller store or subscription fees, if applicable
  • Other marketplace charges that you specifically authorize

You are responsible for maintaining a valid payment method while you have active listings, completed transactions or outstanding marketplace fees.

4. Seller Service Fee

Sell Computer Parts does not currently charge a standard fee merely to create a basic listing.

When your Listed Item successfully sells, you agree to pay Sell Computer Parts a 6% Seller Service Fee based on the final item sale price, unless a different fee is clearly disclosed before the listing or transaction.

The Seller Service Fee applies to successful sales through:

  • Live Online Auctions
  • Buy Now listings
  • Accepted Make Offer transactions

The Seller Service Fee is separate from any fees charged by payment processors, shipping providers or other third-party services.

You authorize Sell Computer Parts to charge your payment method on file for the Seller Service Fee when your item successfully sells.

Additional information regarding marketplace fees is available on our Site Fees page.

5. Listing Upgrades and Optional Services

Sell Computer Parts may offer optional paid listing upgrades, promotional features, Featured Stores or other premium Services.

The applicable charge will be displayed before you purchase or activate an optional Service.

Unless otherwise stated or required by applicable law, fees for optional listing upgrades or promotional Services are generally non-refundable once the Service has been activated or provided.

6. Creating Listings

You are responsible for ensuring that every listing you create is complete, accurate and not misleading.

Your listing should include information reasonably necessary for a Buyer to evaluate the Listed Item.

Depending on the type of item, this may include:

  • Product name
  • Manufacturer or brand
  • Model
  • Part number
  • Serial number when appropriate
  • Condition
  • Functionality
  • Known defects or damage
  • Included accessories or components
  • Compatibility information
  • Relevant technical specifications
  • Storage capacity
  • Memory capacity or speed
  • Processor or graphics specifications
  • Form factor
  • Quantity
  • Shipping costs and methods
  • Return or refund policy
  • Accepted payment methods

You are responsible for reviewing your listing after submission to confirm that the information appears correctly.

7. Accurate Item Condition

You must accurately disclose the condition of every Listed Item.

Where applicable, you should identify the item as:

  • New
  • Open Box
  • Used
  • Refurbished
  • For Parts or Repair
  • Untested
  • Another applicable condition clearly described in the listing

You must disclose known material defects, damage, missing components, functionality problems or modifications that could reasonably affect a Buyer’s decision to purchase the item.

You may not describe an item as fully functional if you know that it is defective, partially functional or untested.

If you have not tested an item, you should disclose that fact rather than represent or imply that the item has been verified as functional.

8. Computer Hardware Specifications and Compatibility

You are responsible for accurately representing specifications and compatibility information included in listings for computer parts, complete systems, accessories, networking equipment and other hardware.

You may not knowingly misrepresent information including:

  • Processor manufacturer, model or specifications
  • Graphics card manufacturer, model or specifications
  • Memory capacity, generation or speed
  • Storage type or capacity
  • Motherboard model, chipset or processor socket
  • Power supply wattage or certification
  • Form factor
  • PCI Express generation or interface
  • Hardware revision
  • Serial or model numbers
  • Included accessories or components
  • Operating condition
  • Operating system compatibility
  • Hardware compatibility

If you are uncertain about a material specification, you should disclose that uncertainty rather than make an unsupported representation.

9. Modified, Repaired, Overclocked and Mining Hardware

You must disclose known material modifications or repairs that could reasonably affect the value, performance, reliability or condition of a Listed Item.

Where known and material, this may include hardware that has been:

  • Repaired
  • Modified
  • Overclocked
  • Used outside manufacturer specifications
  • Flashed with modified firmware or BIOS
  • Used for cryptocurrency mining
  • Disassembled or altered
  • Modified with aftermarket cooling or components

You may not knowingly represent modified, repaired or materially altered hardware as being in original factory condition when it is not.

10. Storage Devices and Personal Data

If you sell a hard drive, solid-state drive, NVMe drive, desktop computer, laptop, workstation, server or other product capable of storing information, you are responsible for removing personal, confidential, proprietary or sensitive data before shipment or transfer.

You should securely erase storage devices before selling them when appropriate.

You may not knowingly provide a Buyer with personal information, account credentials, confidential business data or other information belonging to another person without authorization.

Sell Computer Parts is not responsible for data remaining on, recovered from or lost from a Listed Item.

11. Passwords, Locks, BIOS and Account Restrictions

You are responsible for removing passwords, administrative restrictions, account locks, activation locks, BIOS passwords, firmware restrictions or other access controls that would prevent a Buyer from reasonably using a Listed Item as represented.

If a Listed Item contains a known restriction or lock that cannot or will not be removed before sale, you must clearly disclose that condition in the listing.

You may not knowingly list equipment that remains unlawfully connected to another person’s account, company, school, government organization, device-management system or other third-party account.

12. Photographs and Listing Media

Photographs or other media used in your listing must accurately represent the Listed Item unless you clearly disclose that an image is a stock or representative image.

You may not use photographs or other media in a misleading manner or intentionally conceal material defects, damage, limitations or differences.

You represent that you own or otherwise have the legal right to use photographs and other content submitted with your listing.

13. Ownership and Authority to Sell

By creating a listing, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own the Listed Item or have legal authority to sell it
  • The Listed Item was lawfully obtained
  • The Listed Item is not stolen
  • The Listed Item is not counterfeit
  • The Listed Item is not subject to an undisclosed ownership claim
  • You have possession or control of the Listed Item and the ability to deliver it
  • The sale does not violate applicable law

You may not list physical items that you do not possess or reasonably expect to be able to deliver unless Sell Computer Parts expressly permits the applicable type of listing.

14. Counterfeit and Misrepresented Components

You may not knowingly sell counterfeit, fraudulently modified or materially misrepresented computer components.

This includes, without limitation:

  • Counterfeit processors
  • Counterfeit graphics cards
  • Counterfeit memory
  • Counterfeit storage devices
  • Fraudulently relabeled hardware
  • Components with intentionally altered identifying information
  • Products represented as a different model, generation or capacity than they actually are

You may not intentionally alter, conceal or misrepresent product labels, model numbers, serial numbers or specifications for the purpose of misleading Buyers.

15. Prohibited and Restricted Items

You may not list products that are unlawful, stolen, counterfeit, fraudulent or otherwise prohibited under Sell Computer Parts policies.

Prohibited listings include, without limitation:

  • Stolen property
  • Counterfeit computer components or electronics
  • Fraudulently modified hardware
  • Materially misrepresented products
  • Items you do not own or have authority to sell
  • Devices unlawfully locked to another person or organization
  • Pirated or illegally distributed software
  • Fraudulent software activation or license keys
  • Malware, spyware, ransomware or malicious software
  • Products prohibited by applicable law
  • Items Sell Computer Parts determines are inappropriate for the marketplace

Sell Computer Parts may remove or restrict listings that we reasonably believe violate these Seller Terms, our Terms & Conditions, marketplace policies or applicable law.

16. Listing Formats

Depending on marketplace functionality and the applicable category, Sellers may offer Listed Items through:

  • 24-Hour Flash Auctions
  • 7-Day Auctions
  • Buy Now listings
  • Make Offer listings
  • Other formats Sell Computer Parts may make available

You are responsible for selecting the appropriate listing format, starting price, Buy Now price, reserve price and other listing settings.

17. Auction Listings

When you list an item for auction, you agree to honor the highest valid bid when the auction closes if any applicable reserve price has been satisfied.

You may not refuse to complete an auction solely because you are dissatisfied with the final selling price if the auction was properly completed according to the listing terms.

Sell Computer Parts auctions may use automatic bidding, bid increments and anti-sniping time extensions as described in our Bidder Terms.

18. Reserve Prices

Sell Computer Parts may allow you to establish a reserve price for certain auctions.

A reserve price represents the minimum selling price you are willing to accept.

If the highest valid bid does not satisfy your reserve price, you generally are not required to complete the sale unless you voluntarily agree otherwise.

If the reserve price is satisfied, you agree to honor the completed auction.

19. Buy Now Listings

If a Buyer completes an eligible Buy Now purchase, you agree to sell the Listed Item to that Buyer at the displayed price subject to the applicable listing terms.

You may not cancel a completed Buy Now transaction solely because you later decide that you wanted a higher price.

20. Make Offer Listings

When Make Offer functionality is available, Buyers may submit offers on eligible listings.

You may accept, reject or counter an offer as permitted by marketplace functionality.

If you accept an offer, you agree to complete the transaction at the accepted price subject to the applicable listing terms.

21. Binding Sales

A sale may become binding when:

  • A Buyer wins an auction and any applicable reserve price has been satisfied
  • A Buyer completes a Buy Now purchase
  • You accept a Buyer’s Make Offer submission

Once a sale becomes binding, both you and the Buyer are expected to complete the transaction.

22. Seller Cancellations

You should not cancel a completed transaction without a legitimate reason.

Legitimate reasons may include circumstances such as:

  • The item was materially damaged before shipment
  • The item was lost or stolen before delivery
  • A material listing error makes completion impracticable
  • The Buyer and Seller mutually agree to cancel
  • Sell Computer Parts determines that fraud or suspicious activity may be involved
  • Completion of the transaction would violate applicable law

Repeated cancellations or cancellations intended to avoid marketplace fees may result in account restrictions or suspension.

23. Price Manipulation and Shill Bidding

You may not manipulate the price, bidding activity or perceived demand for your Listed Items.

You may not:

  • Bid on your own auction
  • Use another account to bid on your own auction
  • Ask another person to bid solely to increase the price
  • Coordinate artificial bids with another user
  • Create fake offers
  • Create fake transactions
  • Use multiple accounts to manipulate marketplace activity
  • Manipulate feedback or transaction history

Sell Computer Parts may cancel bids, cancel transactions, remove listings, suspend accounts or permanently terminate users engaged in marketplace manipulation.

24. Payment From Buyers

Unless otherwise stated, Buyers pay Sellers directly using payment methods accepted by the Seller.

You are responsible for clearly identifying accepted payment methods when required by the marketplace.

Depending on available functionality, payment methods may include approved integrated or third-party payment providers or other payment arrangements permitted by Sell Computer Parts.

You are responsible for reviewing and complying with the terms, fees, restrictions and policies of any payment service you choose to use.

Sell Computer Parts does not guarantee that a payment made by a Buyer will not later be reversed, disputed, charged back or otherwise challenged through a third-party payment provider.

25. Shipping and Delivery

You are responsible for shipping Sold Items according to your listing and agreement with the Buyer.

You agree to:

  • Package items appropriately
  • Use reasonable care when packaging computer parts, complete systems and electronics
  • Use anti-static packaging when appropriate
  • Provide reasonable protection for fragile components
  • Ship within the timeframe disclosed to the Buyer
  • Use the shipping method stated in your listing when applicable
  • Provide accurate tracking information when available
  • Ship the item to the address agreed upon for the transaction

Computer components and sensitive electronics should be packaged appropriately to reduce the risk of physical damage, moisture damage and electrostatic discharge during shipment.

Graphics cards, motherboards, processors, storage devices and other sensitive components should be protected in a manner reasonably appropriate for the type of component being shipped.

Sell Computer Parts does not package, ship or deliver Listed Items and is not responsible for loss, theft, delay or damage occurring during transportation.

26. Shipping Costs

You are responsible for accurately disclosing applicable shipping charges in your listing.

You may not intentionally advertise an artificially low item price and then use unreasonable shipping charges to circumvent marketplace fees or mislead Buyers.

If you offer free shipping, you are responsible for the applicable shipping cost unless otherwise agreed with the Buyer.

27. Local Pickup

You may offer local pickup for eligible items when permitted by Sell Computer Parts.

You and the Buyer are responsible for coordinating the time, location, payment and transfer of the Listed Item.

You should use reasonable judgment regarding personal safety when meeting another user and should choose an appropriate public or otherwise safe location when possible.

28. Returns and Refunds

You are responsible for establishing and accurately disclosing your applicable return or refund policy, subject to applicable law and payment-provider requirements.

Your policy should clearly indicate whether returns or refunds are:

  • Accepted
  • Accepted under specified conditions
  • Not accepted except where required by applicable law

You are responsible for honoring the policy stated in your listing.

Used, refurbished, untested and “for parts or repair” products may have different return considerations. You should clearly disclose applicable restrictions before the transaction.

Nothing in your Seller return or refund policy eliminates rights that a Buyer may have under applicable law or applicable payment-provider policies.

29. Refunds

When you agree or are legally required to provide a refund, you are responsible for issuing the refund to the Buyer using an appropriate method.

Sell Computer Parts generally does not hold the Buyer’s purchase funds and therefore may not be able to issue a refund on your behalf.

Refunding a Buyer does not automatically entitle you to a refund of marketplace fees unless Sell Computer Parts’ applicable fee policy states otherwise.

30. Transaction Circumvention and Fee Avoidance

You may not use Sell Computer Parts to identify or communicate with a Buyer and then intentionally move the same transaction outside the marketplace for the purpose of avoiding Sell Computer Parts fees.

Prohibited fee circumvention may include:

  • Asking a Buyer to cancel a completed marketplace transaction and pay you privately
  • Requesting an alternative transaction solely to avoid the Seller Service Fee
  • Using listing descriptions or messages to direct Buyers away from Sell Computer Parts solely to avoid fees
  • Creating false cancellations to avoid marketplace fees
  • Misrepresenting the final sale price

Applicable Seller Service Fees may remain due when Sell Computer Parts reasonably determines that a transaction resulted from marketplace activity but was moved outside the marketplace primarily to avoid fees.

Repeated or intentional fee circumvention may result in Seller restrictions, suspension or permanent account termination.

31. External Links and Advertising

Listings may not be used primarily to advertise another marketplace, website, store or service.

Sell Computer Parts may remove hyperlinks, website addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses or other information from listings when reasonably necessary to prevent spam, fraud, fee circumvention or misuse of marketplace listings.

32. Seller Communications

You agree to communicate with Buyers professionally and in good faith.

You may not use marketplace communications to:

  • Threaten or harass Buyers
  • Send unsolicited spam
  • Misrepresent an item or transaction
  • Request fraudulent payment
  • Send malware or malicious links
  • Manipulate feedback
  • Facilitate unlawful activity

33. Feedback and Reviews

Buyers may be permitted to leave feedback regarding completed transactions.

You may not manipulate the feedback system or offer compensation, refunds, discounts or other benefits solely in exchange for misleading positive feedback.

You may not threaten a Buyer for leaving legitimate feedback.

Sell Computer Parts may remove feedback that violates marketplace policies.

34. Search Results and Listing Visibility

Sell Computer Parts does not guarantee any particular search ranking, listing position, number of views, number of bids, number of offers or sale.

Search results and listing visibility may be affected by factors including:

  • Search relevance
  • Category
  • Price
  • Listing format
  • Auction ending time
  • Seller activity
  • Listing quality
  • Promotional features
  • Buyer-selected filters and sorting options

35. No Guarantee of Sale or Payment

Sell Computer Parts does not guarantee that:

  • Your Listed Item will receive views
  • Your auction will receive bids
  • You will receive offers
  • Your Listed Item will sell
  • A Buyer will complete payment
  • A payment will not later be disputed or reversed

Selling through an online marketplace involves risk, and you are responsible for evaluating Buyers, payment methods and delivery methods and taking reasonable precautions against fraud.

36. Manufacturer Warranties and Third-Party Services

Sell Computer Parts is an independent marketplace and is not responsible for the operation, policies, warranties or actions of computer manufacturers, component manufacturers, software providers, payment providers, shipping providers or other third-party services.

Manufacturer warranties may not be transferable and may be subject to separate eligibility, documentation, region, registration or ownership requirements.

You should not represent that a Listed Item includes a manufacturer warranty unless you have a reasonable basis for that representation.

Sell Computer Parts does not guarantee that a manufacturer will recognize or honor any warranty associated with a Listed Item.

37. Taxes

You are responsible for determining and satisfying your tax obligations arising from marketplace sales except where applicable law specifically requires Sell Computer Parts or another service provider to collect, report or remit an amount.

You are responsible for maintaining any records necessary for your tax, accounting and business obligations.

Sell Computer Parts does not provide tax advice.

38. Legal and Regulatory Compliance

You are responsible for complying with laws and regulations applicable to your business, Listed Items and transactions.

Sell Computer Parts may request information reasonably necessary to comply with legal or regulatory requirements, verify Seller information, prevent fraud or protect marketplace users.

Where required by applicable law, we may collect, verify, retain or disclose certain Seller information.

Failure to provide information required by law or marketplace policy may result in restrictions on your ability to sell.

39. Intellectual Property

You may not create listings that unlawfully infringe copyrights, trademarks, patents or other intellectual property rights.

You represent that you have the right to use all photographs, descriptions, logos, graphics and other content submitted with your listings.

Sell Computer Parts may remove listings or User Content that we reasonably believe infringes third-party rights.

References to manufacturers, product names, brands or trademarks are for identification purposes and do not imply affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement by the applicable rights holder.

40. Seller Representations and Warranties

For each Listed Item, you represent and warrant that:

  1. You own the Listed Item or have legal authority to sell it.
  2. The item was lawfully obtained.
  3. The item is not stolen or counterfeit.
  4. The sale is lawful.
  5. The listing is accurate and not materially misleading.
  6. Known material defects or restrictions have been disclosed.
  7. Photographs and descriptions accurately represent the Listed Item.
  8. Specifications are accurate to the best of your knowledge.
  9. You have the right to use all listing content.
  10. You have the ability to deliver the Listed Item as represented.
  11. You will honor completed transactions as required by these Seller Terms.
  12. You will comply with your stated shipping, return and refund policies.
  13. You will pay applicable Sell Computer Parts fees.
  14. You will comply with applicable laws and regulations.

41. Sell Computer Parts Review of Listings

Sell Computer Parts may review marketplace listings but is not obligated to independently verify every listing.

We may remove, restrict, edit, re-categorize or suspend a listing when we reasonably believe:

  • The listing violates marketplace policies
  • The item may be prohibited
  • The listing is materially misleading
  • The listing creates a fraud or safety risk
  • The listing infringes third-party rights
  • The listing contains inappropriate content
  • A technical or categorization correction is necessary

42. Suspicious or Fraudulent Transactions

Sell Computer Parts may cancel or restrict listings, bids, offers or transactions when we reasonably believe fraudulent, suspicious or manipulative activity may be involved.

We may also request additional information from you before restoring a listing or Seller account.

43. Seller Account Restrictions

Sell Computer Parts may restrict, suspend or terminate Seller privileges when we reasonably believe that you:

  • Failed to pay marketplace fees
  • Maintained an invalid payment method
  • Repeatedly canceled completed sales without legitimate reason
  • Failed to ship Sold Items
  • Misrepresented Listed Items
  • Sold prohibited, stolen or counterfeit products
  • Manipulated auctions, offers or feedback
  • Engaged in fee circumvention
  • Engaged in fraudulent activity
  • Violated these Seller Terms
  • Violated the Sell Computer Parts Terms & Conditions

Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent account termination.

44. Outstanding Fees

Suspension, closure or termination of your account does not eliminate amounts properly owed to Sell Computer Parts.

You remain responsible for applicable Seller Service Fees, listing upgrades, store fees and other authorized charges incurred before account termination.

We may use the payment method on file to collect authorized outstanding fees in accordance with these Seller Terms.

45. Indemnification

The indemnification provisions contained in the Sell Computer Parts Terms & Conditions apply to your activities as a Seller.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Sell Computer Parts and the parties identified in our Terms & Conditions from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or related to:

  • Your Listed Items
  • Your listings
  • Your sale of a Listed Item
  • Your shipping or delivery of a Listed Item
  • Your return or refund policies
  • Your User Content
  • Your violation of applicable law
  • Your violation of another person’s rights
  • Your breach of these Seller Terms
  • Your breach of the Sell Computer Parts Terms & Conditions

46. Changes to Seller Terms

Sell Computer Parts may update these Seller Terms from time to time.

Updated Seller Terms will be posted on Sell Computer Parts with a revised effective date.

Your continued creation of new listings or use of Seller Services after updated Seller Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those updated terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

47. Conflicts With Terms & Conditions

These Seller Terms supplement the Sell Computer Parts Terms & Conditions.

If there is a conflict between these Seller Terms and the Terms & Conditions, the Terms & Conditions will control unless expressly stated otherwise.
