Bidder Terms

Effective Date: August 1, 2026

These Bidder Terms (“Bidder Terms”) govern your participation in auctions offered through Sell Computer Parts at SellComputerParts.com.

These Bidder Terms are incorporated into and form part of the Sell Computer Parts Terms & Conditions. Capitalized terms not defined in these Bidder Terms have the meanings given to them in the Terms & Conditions.

By registering to bid, placing a bid, using automatic or maximum bidding, or otherwise participating in an auction on Sell Computer Parts, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to these Bidder Terms and our Terms & Conditions.

1. Bidder Eligibility and Account

You must have an eligible Sell Computer Parts account to participate in auctions. We may require account, email, telephone, payment or other verification before allowing you to place bids.

You are responsible for maintaining accurate account information and protecting your username, password and other account credentials.

You are responsible for bids and other auction activity conducted through your account, except to the extent otherwise required by applicable law.

You may not allow another person to use your account to circumvent account restrictions, bidding restrictions or these Bidder Terms.

2. Sell Computer Parts Is a Marketplace

Sell Computer Parts provides an online marketplace through which independent Sellers may offer approved new, used and refurbished computer parts, components, computers, electronics, networking equipment, peripherals, accessories and other computer-related products (“Listed Items”) for sale.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Sell Computer Parts is not the owner or Seller of any Listed Item and is not a party to the purchase and sale agreement between the Buyer and Seller.

Sell Computer Parts generally does not take possession of, inspect, test, authenticate, repair, refurbish, package, warehouse, ship or deliver Listed Items.

Sellers are responsible for their listings and Buyers are responsible for reviewing listings and evaluating Listed Items before bidding.

3. Review Before You Bid

Before placing a bid, you are responsible for carefully reviewing the entire listing, including where applicable:

  • Item description
  • Photographs
  • Brand or manufacturer
  • Model or part number
  • Serial number when provided
  • Condition
  • Known defects or damage
  • Included components or accessories
  • Technical specifications
  • Compatibility information
  • Shipping costs and methods
  • Seller payment methods
  • Seller return or refund policy
  • Any additional terms disclosed by the Seller

If you have questions about a Listed Item, you should ask the Seller before placing a bid.

Do not place a bid unless you are prepared to purchase the Listed Item at your bid price if you win the auction.

4. Item Condition, Specifications and Compatibility

Listed Items may be new, open box, used, refurbished, repaired, modified, untested or sold for parts or repair.

Used and refurbished computer parts, computers and electronics may contain cosmetic wear, hidden defects, reduced performance or limited remaining useful life.

Sell Computer Parts does not independently verify the condition, functionality, performance, authenticity, specifications or compatibility of Listed Items.

You are responsible for determining whether a Listed Item is compatible with your intended computer, system, hardware or use before bidding.

This may include verifying compatibility with:

  • Motherboards
  • Processors and CPU sockets
  • Chipsets
  • Memory type, capacity and speed
  • Graphics cards
  • PCI Express slots and generations
  • Power supplies and power connectors
  • Cases and form factors
  • Cooling systems
  • Storage devices and interfaces
  • Operating systems
  • Drivers
  • Firmware or BIOS versions
  • Networking standards
  • Peripherals and accessories

Sell Computer Parts does not guarantee compatibility, benchmark performance, overclocking capability, manufacturer warranty coverage, remaining product life or future software, driver or firmware support.

5. Used, Refurbished, Untested and For Parts Items

Computer parts and electronics may be offered in a variety of conditions.

Before bidding, you should carefully review whether the Seller has identified an item as:

  • New
  • Open Box
  • Used
  • Refurbished
  • Untested
  • For Parts or Repair

An item described as “untested” should not be assumed to be fully functional.

An item described as “for parts or repair” should be presumed to require repair or contain defects unless the Seller clearly states otherwise.

Cosmetic condition does not necessarily indicate functionality, performance or remaining useful life.

6. Modified, Repaired, Overclocked and Mining Hardware

Certain computer components may have been repaired, modified, overclocked, used for cryptocurrency mining, operated outside manufacturer specifications or otherwise altered from their original configuration.

Where disclosed by the Seller, you are responsible for considering whether such history affects your decision to bid.

Sell Computer Parts does not independently verify prior operating conditions, usage history, workloads, temperatures, clock speeds, mining usage, firmware modifications or repairs.

7. Storage Devices and Data

Used hard drives, solid-state drives, NVMe drives, computers, servers and other devices capable of storing information may contain previously stored or recoverable data.

Sell Computer Parts does not inspect or verify whether a storage device has been securely erased.

If you purchase a used storage device or computer, you are responsible for taking reasonable steps to erase, format, inspect and secure the device before placing it into service.

SELL COMPUTER PARTS IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DATA FOUND ON, RECOVERED FROM, LOST FROM OR STORED ON A LISTED ITEM.

8. Passwords, BIOS Locks and Device Restrictions

Certain computers or components may contain passwords, BIOS restrictions, firmware restrictions, activation locks, administrative controls or other access limitations.

You should carefully review any restrictions disclosed in the listing before bidding.

Sell Computer Parts does not guarantee that a Listed Item can be reset, unlocked, activated, registered, updated or connected to a manufacturer or third-party service.

9. Seller Listing Information

Listing descriptions, photographs, specifications, condition information, shipping terms and other information concerning Listed Items are generally provided by the Seller.

Sell Computer Parts does not guarantee that Seller-provided information is complete, current or error-free.

We may remove, modify, restrict or cancel a listing when we reasonably believe that doing so is necessary because of an error, suspected fraud, prohibited item, violation of our policies, technical issue or other marketplace concern.

10. Seller Terms

A Seller may include additional terms relating to a Listed Item, including shipping, payment, local pickup, returns or refunds (“Seller Terms”).

You are responsible for reviewing applicable Seller Terms before placing a bid.

Seller Terms are between you and the Seller and may not override the Sell Computer Parts Terms & Conditions, these Bidder Terms or applicable law.

If you do not agree with a Seller’s applicable terms, do not bid on the Listed Item.

11. Placing a Bid

By placing a bid, you are making an offer to purchase the Listed Item if you become the winning Bidder.

You understand and agree that:

  1. Each bid you submit must be genuine and placed with the intent to complete the purchase if you win.
  2. You are responsible for reviewing the amount of your bid before submitting it.
  3. A bid generally cannot be withdrawn merely because you changed your mind, found another item, misunderstood the item’s value or decided that you no longer want the item.
  4. If you are the winning Bidder and any applicable reserve requirement has been satisfied, you agree to complete the transaction with the Seller.
  5. You are responsible for paying the Seller in accordance with the listing and applicable transaction terms.

12. Binding Bids

A bid placed through Sell Computer Parts is intended to be a binding commitment if you become the winning Bidder, subject to any applicable reserve price, cancellation permitted under these Terms, or rights provided by applicable law.

Winning an auction creates an obligation between the winning Bidder and Seller to complete the transaction according to the listing and applicable marketplace terms.

Failure to complete a transaction after winning an auction may result in account restrictions, suspension or termination.

13. Bid Retractions and Bid Errors

Bids generally cannot be retracted after submission.

If you believe you entered a bid because of a genuine technical or input error, you should contact Sell Computer Parts as soon as possible.

Submitting a request does not guarantee that a bid will be removed.

Sell Computer Parts may determine, in its reasonable discretion, whether a bid should be canceled because of an obvious error, technical problem, suspected fraud or other exceptional circumstance.

14. Maximum Bidding

Sell Computer Parts may offer automatic or maximum bidding functionality.

When you enter a maximum bid, you authorize our bidding system to automatically place bids on your behalf up to the maximum amount you entered.

The system may increase your current bid by the minimum amount necessary to maintain your position as the highest Bidder, subject to competing bids and applicable bid increments.

Your maximum bid generally will not be displayed publicly to other Bidders.

If another Bidder has already entered the same maximum bid, the bid entered first may receive priority, subject to the operation of the marketplace bidding system.

If another Bidder exceeds your maximum bid, you may place a new maximum bid before the auction closes.

15. Bid Increments

Sell Computer Parts may establish minimum bid increments for auctions.

The required increment may vary depending on the current auction price or other marketplace settings.

The bidding system will display the minimum amount required for your next bid when applicable.

16. Auction Closing Time

Each auction will display a scheduled closing time.

The displayed closing time may be extended by Sell Computer Parts’ anti-sniping system as described below.

Sell Computer Parts’ systems and records will determine the official time for bidding and auction closing purposes.

17. Anti-Sniping Protection

Sell Computer Parts auctions may use automatic time extensions designed to provide Bidders with an opportunity to respond to bids submitted near the end of an auction.

If a qualifying bid is placed during the final two (2) minutes of an auction, the auction may automatically extend so that approximately two (2) minutes remain for additional bidding.

If another qualifying bid is placed during the extended bidding period, the auction may extend again.

These extensions may continue until no qualifying bid is received during the applicable final two-minute period.

Accordingly, the originally displayed auction ending time is not guaranteed to be the final closing time.

18. Reserve Prices

A Seller may establish a reserve price for an auction when that feature is available.

A reserve price is the minimum amount the Seller is willing to accept for the Listed Item.

If the highest bid does not meet the applicable reserve price, the Seller is generally not obligated to sell the Listed Item.

If the reserve price is satisfied and you are the highest valid Bidder when the auction closes, you agree to complete the transaction.

19. Winning an Auction

Unless otherwise stated, the winning Bidder is the Bidder with the highest valid bid when the auction closes, provided that any applicable reserve price has been satisfied.

After the auction ends, Sell Computer Parts may provide the Buyer and Seller with information reasonably necessary to communicate and complete the transaction.

The winning Bidder agrees to communicate with the Seller and complete payment and other transaction requirements within the period stated in the listing or otherwise reasonably requested by the Seller.

20. Buyer Payment

Sell Computer Parts does not currently charge Buyers a standard Buyer’s Premium for winning an auction.

The winning Bidder pays the purchase price directly to the Seller using a payment method accepted by the Seller.

Depending on the Seller and available marketplace functionality, payment methods may include approved integrated or third-party payment services or other payment arrangements permitted by Sell Computer Parts.

Payment services may have their own terms, fees, buyer protections and dispute procedures. You are responsible for reviewing the terms applicable to the payment method you choose.

21. Seller Service Fee

Sell Computer Parts charges the Seller, rather than the winning Bidder, the applicable Seller Service Fee for a successfully completed auction sale.

The current standard Seller Service Fee is described on our Site Fees page.

Unless otherwise disclosed, the Seller Service Fee does not increase the winning Bidder’s bid amount.

22. Shipping, Delivery and Local Pickup

Shipping, delivery and local pickup arrangements are made between the Buyer and Seller according to the listing and any applicable Seller Terms.

Before bidding, you should review:

  • Shipping charges
  • Shipping methods
  • Available insurance
  • Delivery estimates
  • Signature requirements
  • Local pickup terms, when applicable

Unless otherwise agreed between the Buyer and Seller, the Buyer is responsible for any shipping or delivery charges disclosed in the listing.

Sell Computer Parts does not take possession of Listed Items and is not responsible for packaging, shipment, delivery, loss, theft, delay or damage occurring during transportation.

23. Computer Component Shipping Risks

Computer components and electronics may be sensitive to impact, moisture, electrostatic discharge and improper packaging.

Sellers are responsible for packaging their items, but Buyers acknowledge that transportation carries inherent risks.

Graphics cards, motherboards, processors, storage devices, monitors, complete systems and other electronics may require specialized packaging depending on the item.

You should consider available shipping insurance or signature confirmation for high-value purchases when appropriate.

24. Returns and Refunds

Because Listed Items are sold by independent Sellers, return and refund terms are generally established by the Seller, subject to applicable law and any applicable payment-provider rules.

You are responsible for reviewing the Seller’s return or refund policy before placing a bid.

A successful auction purchase is not automatically returnable merely because you changed your mind, purchased an incompatible product, misunderstood the specifications or later found the same or similar item at a lower price.

Items identified as untested or for parts or repair may have additional return restrictions disclosed by the Seller.

Nothing in these Bidder Terms limits any rights you may have under applicable law.

25. Marketplace Communications

By bidding on an auction, you authorize Sell Computer Parts to provide the Seller with information reasonably necessary to complete the transaction if you become the winning Bidder.

This may include your:

  • Name or username
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Shipping information, where applicable
  • Transaction information
  • Other information reasonably necessary to complete the transaction

Information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

26. Prohibited Bidder Conduct

You may not manipulate, interfere with or artificially influence an auction.

Prohibited conduct includes:

  • Shill bidding
  • Bidding on your own item
  • Using another account to bid on your own item
  • Asking another person to artificially increase bidding
  • Coordinating bids with another user to manipulate a price
  • Creating multiple accounts to manipulate an auction
  • Submitting bids without intending to pay if you win
  • Using automated bidding software not authorized by Sell Computer Parts
  • Attempting to interfere with another Bidder’s ability to bid
  • Attempting to circumvent marketplace security or bidding systems
  • Using bids to manipulate marketplace prices or transaction history

Sell Computer Parts may cancel bids, cancel auctions, restrict accounts or suspend or terminate users when we reasonably believe prohibited bidding activity has occurred.

27. Suspicious or Fraudulent Bids

Sell Computer Parts reserves the right to void or remove a bid that we reasonably believe:

  • Was placed fraudulently
  • Was placed using a compromised account
  • Was submitted in bad faith
  • Was intended to manipulate an auction
  • Violates these Bidder Terms
  • Violates our Terms & Conditions
  • Was caused by a material technical or system error

Where appropriate, we may also restrict or suspend accounts associated with suspected fraudulent activity.

28. Auction Cancellations and Corrections

Sell Computer Parts may cancel, suspend, postpone, extend or correct an auction or bid when reasonably necessary because of:

  • Technical problems
  • Website outages
  • Listing errors
  • Pricing or bidding errors
  • Suspected fraud
  • Prohibited listings
  • Seller account issues
  • Violations of marketplace policies
  • Other circumstances affecting the fairness or integrity of the auction

Where reasonably possible, we may notify affected users of material auction changes.

29. Technical Issues

Internet-based bidding may occasionally be affected by internet connectivity, device problems, browser issues, server delays or other technical conditions.

Sell Computer Parts does not guarantee that every bid submitted will be received, recorded or processed before an auction closes.

You should not rely on submitting a bid at the final possible moment.

Sell Computer Parts may take reasonable action to address a material marketplace system error, but is not responsible for problems caused by your internet connection, device, browser, software or other systems outside our control.

30. No Guarantee of Seller or Listed Item

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sell Computer Parts does not guarantee:

  • The identity or reliability of a Seller
  • The accuracy of a listing
  • The ownership of a Listed Item
  • The authenticity of a Listed Item
  • The condition of a Listed Item
  • The functionality of a Listed Item
  • The compatibility of a Listed Item
  • The specifications represented by the Seller
  • The remaining useful life of a Listed Item
  • Manufacturer warranty coverage
  • The Seller’s ability or willingness to complete a transaction

You should use appropriate care when evaluating Sellers and Listed Items and should ask questions before bidding when information is unclear.

31. Installation and Use of Computer Components

Computer components may require technical knowledge for proper installation, configuration and use.

You are responsible for determining whether you have the necessary knowledge, tools and equipment to install or use a Listed Item safely and correctly.

Improper installation, incompatible hardware, incorrect power connections, static electricity, firmware changes, overclocking or other factors may damage computer components or other equipment.

SELL COMPUTER PARTS IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE, DATA LOSS, SYSTEM FAILURE OR OTHER LOSS RESULTING FROM YOUR INSTALLATION, TESTING, MODIFICATION, REPAIR OR USE OF A LISTED ITEM.

32. Manufacturer Warranties and Third-Party Services

Sell Computer Parts is an independent marketplace and is not responsible for the operation, policies, warranties or actions of computer manufacturers, component manufacturers, software providers, payment services, shipping providers or other third parties.

Manufacturer warranties may be limited, expired, non-transferable or subject to separate eligibility and documentation requirements.

You are responsible for independently verifying any manufacturer warranty that is important to your purchasing decision.

Sell Computer Parts does not guarantee that a manufacturer will honor a warranty claim for any Listed Item.

33. Marketplace Safety and Legal Compliance

Sell Computer Parts may collect, verify, retain or disclose information relating to users or marketplace transactions when reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, protect users, enforce our policies or comply with applicable laws and legal requirements.

We may require additional account or identity information from certain users or Sellers when required by applicable law or marketplace policy.

34. Suspension or Loss of Bidding Privileges

Sell Computer Parts may restrict or suspend your bidding privileges if we reasonably believe that you:

  • Failed to pay for an auction you won
  • Repeatedly failed to complete transactions
  • Engaged in bid manipulation
  • Used multiple accounts improperly
  • Engaged in fraudulent activity
  • Abused Sellers or other users
  • Violated these Bidder Terms
  • Violated the Sell Computer Parts Terms & Conditions

Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent account termination.

35. Indemnification

The indemnification provisions contained in the Sell Computer Parts Terms & Conditions apply to your participation in auctions.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Sell Computer Parts and the parties identified in our Terms & Conditions from claims, damages, losses, costs and expenses arising out of or related to your violation of these Bidder Terms, misuse of the Services or purchase, possession, installation, modification or use of a Listed Item.

36. Changes to Bidder Terms

Sell Computer Parts may update these Bidder Terms from time to time.

Updated Bidder Terms will be posted on Sell Computer Parts with a revised effective date.

The version in effect when you place a bid will govern that bid to the extent required by applicable law.

37. Conflicts With Terms & Conditions

These Bidder Terms supplement the Sell Computer Parts Terms & Conditions.

If there is a conflict between these Bidder Terms and the Terms & Conditions, the Terms & Conditions will control unless expressly stated otherwise.
